This SVQ is designed to reflect the work of administration staff across a wide range of industries and types of organisation. Administration skills are crucial to the effectiveness and efficiency of any organisation, and these qualifications demonstrate a thorough understanding of current theory and practice, which is respected and recognised by practitioners and employers alike.
The level three qualification offers a wide variety of units.
This level requires a candidate to obtain detailed knowledge, skills and understanding within a relevant field. It demonstrates team leading and specialist technical skills with competence in communication, problem solving and applied teamwork. Example job roles for this level include Personal Assistant, Secretary and Administration Clerk.
It is aimed at candidates who work as part of a team and ensure the provision of information and resources to others.
Please note: Individual units from any SVQ qualification can be undertaken separately.

Mandatory Requirements:
SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration
Five core skills (separately certificated)
Information Technology - Int 1
Numeracy - Int 1
Communications - Int 1
Working with others - Int 1
Problem solving - Int 1
Plus:
(A minimum of two separately certificated outcomes is required from those outlined below)
- Other optional units from the SVQ in Business Admin
- Units from other relevant SVQ's at level 2 or above
- Core skills at a higher level
- Relevant short courses at a suitable level
- Employer devised training programmes (endorsed by CFA)
- Units or modules from relevant professional qualifications
