Advice and Guidance units are suitable for people who work in areas where they are advising and guiding others - people who: can influence what happens at work. mentor others and have the ability to ask the right questions and suggest ways in which things could be improved work in training, counselling, financial advising, advice centres or in any industry where you may need to offer advice & guidance Please note: Individual units from any SVQ qualification can be undertaken separately.

Mandatory Requirements:

SVQ Level 3 in Advice & Guidance

Five core skills (Do not require to be separately certificated)

Information Technology - Int 1
Numeracy - Int 1
Communications - Int 2
Working with others - Int 2
Problem solving - Int 2

Plus:
A minimum of two certified outcomes from the following list must be achieved:

• SVQ units at level 2 or above from SVQ's relevant to apprentices job role
• Language qualification
• Core skills at a higher level that given above
• ECDL (European computer driving licence)
• First aid certificate tailored employer programme*
• Secondment to other department or organisation*

*Organisations must gain approval from ENTo for these options
